University of Manchester Scholarships
University of Manchester Scholarships
Description
The University of Manchester offers several merit-based scholarship options specifically for students from Indonesia, aimed at helping with the cost of undergraduate and master’s studies in the UK. These enable high-achieving students to access world-class education even if they self-fund or have external sponsors.
What’s Offered:
Global Futures Scholarships for South East Asia, open to those domiciled in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, or Vietnam. Awards are available for both undergraduate and master’s programmes.
Undergraduate Global Futures Scholarships provide significant tuition fee discounts, in some cases up to £30,000 over three years.
Master’s scholarships under this scheme offer around £10,000 off the published overseas tuition fees.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be domiciled in Indonesia (you must have mainly lived in Indonesia for recent years).
Academic excellence is required; your admission offer to Manchester (for an eligible course) must be confirmed before scholarship application.
Must meet the University’s admission & English language requirements for your chosen course.
How Awards Work:
The scholarships are applied as a discount on overseas tuition fees (not cash payments).
For undergraduates, continuation of the award depends on maintaining a required academic standard each year of study.
For master’s level, the award is usually given for one academic year.
Deadline:
Deadlines vary by course and scholarship round. Applicants should check the specific SCHOLARSHIP page for the most current application deadlines for the 2026 intake.
