AUT offers a variety of scholarships to support international students at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels, with special schemes for students from regions such as South Asia, Southeast Asia, North Asia, and Europe.
What’s Offered
Region-based scholarships for top international students commencing in Semester 1, 2026
Faculty / programme-specific scholarships in areas such as Business, Design & Creative Technologies, and Health & Environmental Sciences
AUT-NCUK Scholarship: for students who completed NCUK pathway programmes and now hold an AUT offer (tuition award)
Doctoral Scholarships available for high-achieving PhD candidates
Partnerships with external scholarship schemes, such as CSC (China), COLFUTURO (Colombia), Manaaki NZ, and others
Eligibility Criteria
Must be enrolled or accepted into an AUT programme
Academic excellence and merit are key selection factors
Regional eligibility: some scholarships targeted to students from South Asia, Southeast Asia, North Asia, Europe, etc.
