Three Levels of Scholarships

University Scholarships: Freshmen who meet the Feb. 1 deadline for admission; Upperclass students must apply by February 1 each year to be eligible.
CASNR Scholarships The College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources awards over $500,000 in scholarships to students each year. Many require no separate application. Scholarship amounts range from $100 to $2000 per year.

Student Research Awards

Through two different programs, students interested in undergraduate research are able to receive grant funds for research activities.

UCARE, an undergraduate research program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln offers two-year undergraduate research awards on a competitive basis. Students work with faculty members to develop proposals and, if selected, receive up to $2500/year for each of two years to carry out the research project.

Students in the UNL Honors Program are encouraged to apply for grants for research projects through the UNL Agriculture Research Division. This can be done in conjunction with completing their senior thesis and/or for independent study credit if the student wishes.
