World Food Day Poster Contest

Description

This global contest invites children and youth aged 5 to 19 from around the world to express their vision of how “better foods create a better future.” The initiative focuses on food security, sustainability, community, and the interplay between people and nature. FAOHome+1

Who Can Participate

  • Young people aged 5 to 19 at the time of entry.

  • Participants may live in any country worldwide.

  • Each submitter may enter only one poster.

What’s Required

  • A single poster, created by hand or digital media (but not a photograph). See rules for mediums accepted.

  • If text is used, it must be no more than 25 words (or up to 100 characters) and contain no personal identifiers (name, school, age).

  • If digital creation is used, any AI‐assisted tools must be disclosed and may not be used for the entire creation.

How It Works

  • Entry period: begins at 12:00 (CEST) on 1 July 2025; closes at 12:00 (CET) on 7 November 2025.

  • The contest is divided into four age categories: 5-8, 9-12, 13-15, and 16-19.

  • Uploaded submissions must be in JPEG format, within approved size limits, and submitted via the online form.

Prizes & Recognition

  • For each age category, three winners will be selected and announced in December 2025.

  • Winners receive a Certificate of Recognition and a surprise gift bag and will be promoted via global channels.

  • Shortlisted finalists (15 per category) also receive recognition and a certificate.

Submission closes on 7 November 2025.
