VISTEC Student Admission – Vidyasirimedhi Institute of Science and Technology (VISTEC)

The VISTEC Student Admission process opens annually for master’s and doctoral degree programmes. Based in Rayong, Thailand, VISTEC offers a world-class research and education environment across four specialised schools: Biomolecular Science and Engineering, Energy Science and Engineering, Information Science and Technology, and Molecular Science and Engineering.

What’s Offered

• All enrolled students receive full or generous scholarships, research funding, and access to state-of-the-art facilities.

• PhD students may receive extra funding for up to one year of research abroad.

• Participation in interdisciplinary research, industry collaborations, and global partnerships in Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor of Innovation.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must hold, or be in their final year of, a relevant bachelor’s degree (for master’s programmes) or a master’s degree (for doctoral programmes) in fields such as chemistry, materials science, engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science or related disciplines.

• An official English-language proficiency score (TOEFL, IELTS or equivalent) is required.

• Other required documents include CV, academic transcripts, statement of purpose, letters of recommendation, and optionally research publications or portfolio.

Process & Structure

• Application period runs from October to mid-February each year.

• After applications, short-listed candidates are notified of interview invitations in February. Interviews are held in February, with results announced by the end of March.

• All admitted students join research-intensive degree tracks, with strong emphasis on global innovation, interdisciplinary training, and collaborative research.

• The current cycle’s application deadline is 15 February 2026 for international (master's and PhD) programme.
