The Earth Prize is a global innovation competition inviting young people to develop actionable solutions to pressing environmental challenges. Each year, students aged 13 to 19 from around the world participate in project-based entries focused on sustainability, climate action, and system change. What’s Offered
A prize pool of USD 100,000 awarded to winning teams whose ideas demonstrate high potential for environmental impact.
Access to mentorship, learning resources, online community platforms, and exposure opportunities.
Recognition of winners at the regional and global levels, including implementation support for their projects.
Eligibility & Requirements
Participants must be born between 2006 and 2012 (i.e., aged 13–19 at the time of registration).
Participants must be enrolled in secondary education or a comparable educational programme.
Teams or individual students may enter; teams can include up to five students and may span multiple schools.
Submissions must propose solutions addressing environmental sustainability (such as climate change, waste, nature preservation, clean air, oceans) and must include plan, design, or prototype with implementation potential.
Timeline & Application Process
Registration opens annually on 1 September and closes on 31 January (12:00 CET) in the cycle.
After registration, teams gain access to mentoring and online learning modules. They then proceed to submit initial idea (“Fresh Idea”), followed by further refinement, pitch videos and live presentations as the competition progresses through phases (Scholars Phase, Regional Winners Phase, Public Voting Phase).
Regional winners and overall global winner are announced during the awards ceremony following the public vote.

For the current cycle, the registration and idea submission phase concludes on 31 January 2026.
