Description
The START (Student Advanced Research Training) Programme is an international, research-focused opportunity hosted by the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR). It offers undergraduate, Master’s, and early-stage PhD students the chance to gain hands-on research experience in a major global scientific institution, working alongside professional researchers on real projects.

Eligibility Criteria
Open to international students under 30 years old
Applicants must be:
At least in their 3rd year of a Bachelor’s degree, or
Enrolled in a Master’s programme, or
In the early stage of a PhD
Field of study must be related to physics, engineering, computer science, mathematics, or applied sciences
Program Structure
The programme is offered in separate sessions (e.g. winter and summer)
Participants are selected through a competitive process based on academic background and motivation
Students work full-time on research projects within JINR laboratories
The programme may serve as a pathway to future thesis supervision or doctoral research
