Seoul National University provides several scholarships to support international graduate students, offering a range of financial benefits to help cover tuition, living expenses, and more.
What’s Offered
SNU Global Scholarship I & II: For selected graduate students, includes full or partial tuition, a monthly living allowance, and airfare for initial or final travel.
Graduate Scholarship for Foreign Students (GSFS): Covers full tuition for up to four semesters plus a monthly stipend (minimum ~KRW 500,000).
SNU President Fellowship (SPF): For PhD applicants, provides full tuition for up to six semesters, high monthly stipends, round-trip airfare, health insurance, and Korean language training.
Silk-Road Scholarship: Designed for international students in humanities and social sciences, offering full tuition exemption and a living stipend.
CNS & Hyunsong Scholarship: Specific to the College of Natural Sciences; offers generous stipend support per semester for eligible international students.
Eligibility Criteria
Open to international (non-Korean) students applying to SNU graduate programs.
For GSFS: Applicants apply during their admission application; selection is based on academic excellence and program fit.
For SPF: Prior teaching or instructional experience may be required, depending on the candidate's background.
