Description
The Saïd Foundation Scholarships empower exceptional individuals from Syria, Jordan, Lebanon and Palestine to pursue a one-year Master’s degree in the UK at a partner university.
What’s Offered
Full tuition fees, a living/stipend allowance, arrival allowance, visa and health surcharge fees, and one return economy flight.
Membership of a distinguished alumni community and access to leadership development opportunities.
Roughly 20-30 scholarships awarded each year to outstanding applicants.
Eligibility Criteria
Must hold nationality of Syria, Jordan, Lebanon or Palestine and be ordinarily resident in one of those countries (with flexibility for Syrian applicants abroad).
Applicants should hold an undergraduate degree equivalent to a UK upper-second class honours (2:1) or be in the final year of their undergraduate programme.
Demonstrated leadership potential, relevant work/voluntary experience and a clear plan to contribute to their home country or region after study.
Applicants must apply for an eligible one-year Master’s course at one of the Foundation’s UK partner universities (two-year programmes, PhD, part-time or distance learning not eligible).
Must meet the Foundation’s English language requirement.
Process & Structure
Scholars submit an online application form and supporting documents (transcripts, CV, references, proof of nationality/residence).
Applicants select up to three eligible courses and must have applied or be in the process of applying to those universities.
Short-listed candidates are interviewed and final selections are made by the Foundation’s review panel.
Award tenure is for the full duration of the one-year Master’s programme, subject to satisfactory progress.

The application deadline for the 2026/27 cycle is 31 October 2025 at 17:00 UK time.
