Description
The Reach Oxford Scholarship supports exceptional undergraduate students from low-income or developing countries who, for political, financial or educational reasons, cannot study for a degree in their home country.
What’s Offered
Tuition fees and college fees for the full duration of the course (typically 3 or 4 years)
A grant for living expenses each year
One return airfare per year for travel between the scholar’s home country and the United Kingdom
Eligibility Criteria
Open to nationals of countries listed as recipients of official development assistance (ODA) from the OECD.
Applicants must be applying for their first undergraduate degree and must hold an offer of admission to an eligible undergraduate course (excluding medicine) at the host university.
Selection is based on high academic ability, financial need, social commitment and an intention to return to their home country after studies.
Process & Structure
Apply for admission to your chosen undergraduate course by the standard deadline.
If offered a place, submit the scholarship application by the specified deadline (typically early February).
Selection is made by a review of academic merit, financial circumstances, and future impact.
Scholarships are awarded for the full duration of the undergraduate programme, subject to satisfactory progress.
Deadline
The UCAS application deadline for admission is typically 15 October in the year before entry.
The scholarship application deadline is usually 12 noon (UK time) in early February of the year of entry.
