Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) Program

Description

The Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) is a merit-based award for Master’s and PhD students pursuing graduate studies at participating universities across Ontario. It’s designed to support academic excellence and research impact.

🎓 Award Value

  • CAD 10,000 for two consecutive terms (one academic year)

  • CAD 15,000 for three consecutive terms

  • Eligible for up to 2 years at the Master’s level and 4 years at the doctoral level, with a lifetime maximum of 6 years

✅ Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be enrolled full-time in a Master’s or Doctoral program at an Ontario university that participates in OGS

  • Assessed based on academic merit, research potential, and supervisor support

  • Each provincial university applies its own selection criteria, including GPA, publications, and character references

📝 Application Process

  • Apply through your university’s Graduate Studies Office, usually during the Fall term

  • Schools manage eligibility, evaluation, and award decisions independently
