The Max Planck Institutes in Informatics, Software Systems, and Security & Privacy (based in Saarbrücken, Kaiserslautern, and Bochum, Germany) offer fully funded research internships in Computer Science. These internships give exceptional students the chance to contribute to innovative projects while working under the mentorship of world-class researchers.

Eligibility & Overview

  • Open to outstanding Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral students worldwide, as well as industry professionals interested in research.

  • Internships usually last 12–14 weeks, with options for longer stays.

  • Projects are matched to each intern’s academic background and research interests.

  • Working language is English — no German required.
