Description
The Helmut Veith Stipend supports exceptional female Master’s students in Computer Science who wish to study at TU Wien. Established in memory of Professor Helmut Veith, the program honors his contributions to logic, formal methods, algorithms, and computer security.
🎓 Scholarship Benefits
Annual stipend of €7,000 for up to two years
Full tuition fee waiver at TU Wien
Financial support to pursue research and studies without financial burden
✅ Eligibility
Female students admitted to an English-taught Master’s program in Computer Science at TU Wien (e.g. Logic & Computation, Data Science, Software Engineering, Business Informatics, Media & Human-Centered Computing, Computer Engineering)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent
Strong interest or prior experience in fields such as logic in computer science, formal verification, algorithms and complexity theory, AI foundations, or computer security
Proficiency in English
📆 Application & Conditions
Annual deadline: November 30
Admission to a TU Wien Master’s program is required before the stipend is awarded
To maintain the scholarship, recipients must:
Complete at least 25 ECTS credits per semester
Maintain a grade average of 1.5 or better (with 1.0 being the top grade)
Reside in Austria during term time (exceptions for internships or short travel may be approved)
