Graduate Scholarship for Emerging Leaders – Southeast Asia (UMass Lowell)

This scholarship supports international students from Southeast Asia who are admitted to master’s degree programs at UMass Lowell, providing financial assistance over multiple semesters.

What’s Offered

• Up to USD 20,000 in scholarship funding for eligible students

• Disbursed as USD 5,000 per year over four consecutive semesters

• For Master of Public Health students, funding may extend up to USD 25,000 over five semesters

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be admitted into a full-time, on-campus master’s program at UMass Lowell

• Must hold international tuition status under UMass and state regulations

• Scholars must maintain full-time enrollment (or prescribed minimum in-person course load) and F-1 visa status

• Preference given to applicants with interest in science, health, technology, leadership, or management in Southeast Asia

Additional Conditions

• No separate scholarship application is required — eligible students are automatically considered

• Recipients may combine this scholarship with other tuition awards, but only one award may be applied to tuition

• Enrollment deposit must be submitted within 21 days of admission or risk losing the award

Deadlines

• Priority deadline for fall semester: January 15

• Priority deadline for spring semester: October 15

• Applications submitted after these dates may still be considered if funding remains available
