Description
This scholarship supports international students from Southeast Asia who are admitted to master’s degree programs at UMass Lowell, providing financial assistance over multiple semesters.
What’s Offered
Up to USD 20,000 in scholarship funding for eligible students
Disbursed as USD 5,000 per year over four consecutive semesters
For Master of Public Health students, funding may extend up to USD 25,000 over five semesters
Eligibility Requirements
Must be admitted into a full-time, on-campus master’s program at UMass Lowell
Must hold international tuition status under UMass and state regulations
Scholars must maintain full-time enrollment (or prescribed minimum in-person course load) and F-1 visa status
Preference given to applicants with interest in science, health, technology, leadership, or management in Southeast Asia
Additional Conditions
No separate scholarship application is required — eligible students are automatically considered
Recipients may combine this scholarship with other tuition awards, but only one award may be applied to tuition
Enrollment deposit must be submitted within 21 days of admission or risk losing the award
Deadlines
Priority deadline for fall semester: January 15
Priority deadline for spring semester: October 15
Applications submitted after these dates may still be considered if funding remains available
