EPFL Master Excellence Fellowships – École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne

The Master Excellence Fellowships at EPFL offer exceptional financial support to high-achieving students entering one of its Master’s programs. Designed to help scholars fully dedicate themselves to both their studies and personal development, the fellowship includes:

• CHF 10,000 per semester, awarded for up to four semesters.

• Guaranteed student housing for candidates from outside EPFL.

• A formal Certificate of Excellence upon completion of the Master’s program.

Eligibility & Selection

• Open to applicants—both internal and external—of all Master’s programs at EPFL. Eligibility is based on outstanding academic results and involvement in extracurricular activities (e.g., “sporting, artistic, civic, or entrepreneurial” roles).

• Candidates must check the fellowship box on their Master’s application form and submit the required application materials. Internal candidates apply directly via their department.

Renewal & Performance Requirements

• To renew the fellowship for the second year, students must earn at least 50 ECTS credits and maintain a minimum GPA of 5.0/6.0.
