DDSA Travel & Visit Grants for Data Science Researchers

1. DDSA Travel Grant

Supports bachelor’s and master’s students at Danish universities to participate in international academic activities in data science.

• Funding: Up to DKK 15,000 for travel, accommodation, visa, tuition, or conference/course fees abroad

• Excludes: Daily allowances, food, local transport, or salaries

• Eligibility: Enrolled full-time at a Danish university with a data science–related profile

• Application: Accepted year-round until funds run out. Must apply at least 1 month before travel.

• Note: Only one grant per calendar year per student.

2. DDSA Visit Grant

Designed for students and early career researchers worldwide who wish to visit Danish research groups in data science.

• Funding: Up to DKK 15,000 for travel and accommodation costs

• Eligibility: Open to bachelor’s, master’s, PhD students, or postdocs, enrolled or employed at a university

• Visit period: Must occur during studies or within 1 year after graduation/employment

• Application: Accepted year-round, with decisions in about 4 weeks. Must be submitted at least 1 month before visit

• Requirement: Strong motivation, clear research purpose, and a letter of support from a Danish host supervisor

• Note: One grant per applicant per year; supervisors may nominate up to three candidates annually
