Open PhD Fellowships – Summer 2025 Call
DARA welcomes bold, curiosity-driven researchers to apply for fully funded Open PhD Fellowships in Denmark, covering transformative projects across the natural, technical, medical, and data sciences.
✔️ Fellowship Overview
9 fellowships fully cover: salary, project funding, and tuition fees
Salary: up to DKK 1,575,000
Project supplement: DKK 750,000
Tuition coverage: up to DKK 240,000
Priority access to DARA’s academic training and networking activities
Matched with an international mentor to support research journey
🧪 Research Areas
Proposals accepted in fields such as biosciences & biomedicine, engineering, robotics, AI, biotechnology, sustainability innovation, and interdisciplinary research.
👤 Eligibility
Open to candidates eligible for PhD admission under Denmark’s 5+3 or 4+4 model
Must secure a principal supervisor at a Danish research institution
Commitment: supervisors may guide only one DARA fellow at a time; co-supervisors allowed

Required materials include project summary, detailed proposal, CV, transcripts, supervisor letter, and optional mentor CV
Only one application per candidate permitted
