Description
The Amsterdam Merit Scholarship (AMS) offers outstanding non-EU/EEA students the chance to pursue a Master’s degree at the University of Amsterdam (UvA). Awarded to students with exceptional academic records and strong motivation, the scholarship helps reduce the financial burden of studying in the Netherlands.
Funding: €2,000 – €25,000 (amount depends on the faculty and program)
Eligibility: Non-EU/EEA students who are admitted to a UvA Master’s program, with excellent grades and a compelling motivation letter
Selection Criteria: Academic excellence, quality of application, recommendation letters, and in some faculties, specific GPA or ranking requirements
Application Deadlines: Vary by faculty (most fall between January and February)
