Clarendon Scholarships – University of Oxford

The Clarendon Scholarships offer exceptional graduate students the opportunity to pursue full-time or part-time Master’s or DPhil degrees at the University of Oxford. Winners join a vibrant international community and receive generous support to focus on academic excellence.

Eligibility Criteria

• Open to all nationalities—there are no citizenship or country-residence restrictions.

• Applicants must apply for a new Master’s or DPhil (not a continuation of a current course) and meet the relevant admission deadlines (December or January) for their chosen programme.

• Applicants should demonstrate outstanding academic achievement (most successful candidates hold first-class honours or equivalent) and show future potential in their field.

Process & Structure

• You apply for your chosen graduate course at Oxford by the applicable December or January deadline. If you meet the timing, you’re automatically considered for a Clarendon Scholarship. No separate scholarship application is required.

• Your academic department evaluates your application and may nominate candidates for the scholarship; the Clarendon Fund then finalizes offers typically by late April.

• If successful, your scholarship covers your fee period and supports you through your course as defined in your offer.

Deadline

• Submit your application for admission to the graduate programme by the December or January deadline relevant to your course—doing so ensures your automatic consideration for the scholarship.
