Description
Curtin University offers the Australian Government’s Research Training Program (RTP) scholarships to support outstanding international and domestic candidates pursuing full-time research degrees (Master’s by Research or PhD).
🎯 What It Covers
Full tuition fee waiver for up to 2 years (Master’s) or 3.5–4 years (PhD)
Annual living stipend (~AUD 33,990–37,500, tax‑free)
Relocation allowance for international students (up to ~AUD 1,485)
Research support, travel funding, thesis allowances, and overseas student health coverage
📅 Application Timeline (2025 Cycle)
Submit Expression of Interest (EOI) to a Curtin supervisor between 1 July and 18 August
Full HDR application and scholarship materials due by 31 October
Scholarship decisions notified in November 2025
Enrolment deadline: 31 March 2026
✅ Eligibility
Applicants must:
Be enrolled or applying full-time for a Higher Degree by Research at Curtin
Not currently hold a comparable HDR stipend
Demonstrate academic excellence and research promise
Obtain an Invitation to Apply from a Curtin-approved supervisor
Meet the university’s research entry and English proficiency requirements
